About me
I’ve been a professional animator since 2000, doing everything from revising scenes to leading multinational teams through high-profile, award-winning series. I love the big-picture challenges of directing and writing, the small frame-by-frame details of the craft of animation, and everything in between. I've even co-written a show's catchy theme song.

I grew up moving a lot, hopping between dynamic downtown Toronto and a Michigan suburb straight out of a John Hughes movie. (I've got dual citizenship—U.S. productions take note!) I was an arts nerd: I loved drawing but I also loved writing and drama class and playing music. Once I realized that animation combines all the things, I made a beeline for the Vancouver Film School's classical animation program, and have lived in Vancouver ever since.

I’m an enthusiastic amateur musician, playing saxophone and guitar mostly in a basement and only occasionally in public. I’m also a husband and father; an avid backpacker, runner, and cyclist; and a serious breakfast aficionado.

But for crying out loud, enough about me! Get in touch, let's talk about crafting stories together.
